Description

Cayo Santa María is a tropical island paradise off Cuba’s northern coast and part of the Cayos de Villa Clara within the Jardines del Rey archipelago. The island is known for its miles of white-sand beaches, turquoise Caribbean waters, all-inclusive resorts, and natural landscapes shaped by mangroves and wetlands. Snorkeling, diving, and boat trips are among the most popular activities, while flamingos and numerous other bird species can be found throughout the surrounding area. Cayo Santa María is connected to the mainland by the approximately 48-kilometer-long Pedraplén causeway, with the historic colonial town of Remedios offering a rewarding cultural excursion. Combining idyllic Caribbean beaches, tropical nature, and relaxed resort life, Cayo Santa María is one of Cuba’s best-known beach destinations.
