Wilsons Promontory National Park, affectionately known as “The Prom”, lies at the southernmost tip of mainland Australia and is one of Victoria’s most spectacular natural areas. The national park is known for its white sandy beaches, turquoise bays, striking granite peaks, and diverse landscapes of eucalyptus forests, coastal heathlands, and temperate rainforest. Kangaroos, emus, wombats, and numerous bird species thrive here, while walking trails lead to secluded coves, up Mount Oberon, and along the rugged coastline. With Squeaky Beach, sweeping views across Bass Strait, and its pristine coastal and mountain scenery, “The Prom” is one of Australia’s finest destinations for hikers and nature lovers.
