Sepilok, about 25 kilometres west of Sandakan, is one of Borneo's leading wildlife conservation centres and one of Sabah's premier destinations for nature and wildlife experiences. It is home to the renowned Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, the neighbouring Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, and the Rainforest Discovery Centre, featuring an impressive canopy walkway through the tropical rainforest.
