Phillip Island is a wildlife-rich island southeast of Melbourne and one of the best-known destinations in the Australian state of Victoria. The island is famous for its nightly Penguin Parade, when little penguins emerge from the sea at dusk and return to their burrows, as well as for koalas, wallabies, and the large Australian fur seal colony on the offshore Seal Rocks. Phillip Island combines spectacular coastal scenery around the Nobbies and Cape Woolamai with picturesque beaches, walking trails, surf spots, and excellent wildlife-watching opportunities. Attractions such as the Koala Conservation Reserve, Churchill Island, and the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit make the island a diverse destination for nature, wildlife, and motorsport enthusiasts.
