Description
Niseko (ニセコ) is one of Japan’s most internationally renowned winter sports destinations, located on the northern island of Hokkaido. The region is famous for its exceptionally light and abundant powder snow, making it one of Asia’s premier skiing destinations. Around Mount Niseko Annupuri, expansive ski areas, snow-covered forests, natural onsen hot springs, and a vibrant international resort culture come together. Across the valley rises the striking Mount Yotei, often called “Ezo Fuji” for its symmetrical shape. While skiing and snowboarding dominate the winter season, the warmer months offer hiking, cycling, rafting, and golf, making Niseko an attractive year-round destination in Hokkaido.
