Manuel Antonio National Park (Parque Nacional Manuel Antonio) is one of Costa Rica’s best-known protected areas, combining lush tropical rainforest with beautiful beaches along the central Pacific coast. Despite its relatively small size, the park is renowned for its remarkable biodiversity, including squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, sloths, toucans, and iguanas, as well as its white-sand beaches and sheltered coves. Well-maintained hiking trails wind through dense rainforest to scenic viewpoints and beaches such as Playa Manuel Antonio, where jungle meets the Pacific Ocean.
