Corcovado National Park (Parque Nacional Corcovado) is located on the Osa Peninsula in southwestern Costa Rica and ranks among the most biodiverse protected areas in the world. The largely untouched national park is known for its dense lowland rainforests, mangroves, rivers, and remote Pacific beaches, as well as its extraordinary wildlife, including tapirs, jaguars, and all four monkey species native to Costa Rica. Corcovado combines pristine tropical rainforest with dramatic coastal landscapes and offers some of the country's most remarkable wildlife-viewing opportunities. Its remote location and strictly regulated access make the national park one of Costa Rica's most important wilderness areas and an exceptional destination for nature and wildlife enthusiasts.
