K'gari

K’gari (formerly Fraser Island), off the east coast of Queensland, is the world’s largest sand island, covering around 1,840 km², and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The island is renowned for its seemingly endless sandy beaches, colourful sand cliffs, crystal-clear freshwater lakes such as Lake McKenzie, and lush rainforests that grow remarkably on sand.
