Short description of Horseshoe Bay
Horseshoe Bay is the most famous of Bermuda's south shore beaches, a curve of pink sand between rocks of weathered limestone, its colour coming from the crushed shells of tiny red organisms on the reef. It is the beach almost every visitor is taken to, and it is busy on cruise days. A path runs along the coast from here past smaller coves such as Jobson's Cove to Warwick Long Bay. Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, a cast-iron tower on the ridge above, looks over the whole island. Church Bay nearby is the classic place to snorkel the reef from the shore.
