Hluhluwe-iMfolozi Park is one of Africa’s oldest wildlife reserves and a landmark of conservation in South Africa. The park is particularly renowned for helping save the southern white rhino from extinction and for the pioneering Operation Rhino, which relocated rhinos to protected areas across Africa and beyond. Its diverse landscape of rolling hills, savanna, and bushveld supports an exceptional variety of wildlife, including the Big Five. As one of South Africa’s most historic protected areas, Hluhluwe-iMfolozi combines outstanding wildlife viewing with a remarkable legacy of conservation.
