Andorra · 1105 m
Description
Escaldes-Engordany is an independent municipality that seamlessly adjoins Andorra la Vella, together forming the commercial and tourism hub of Andorra. The town is best known for Caldea, the largest thermal spa complex in Southern Europe, whose striking glass pyramid tower has become one of the country's most recognizable landmarks. In addition to its year-round thermal baths, Escaldes-Engordany is characterized by the Gran Valira riverside promenade, a small historic quarter, and the pedestrian-friendly Vivand shopping district. Historic buildings, contemporary architecture, wellness facilities, and a wide range of shops, cafés, and restaurants make Escaldes-Engordany one of Andorra's most popular destinations for relaxation, shopping, and short city breaks in the heart of the Pyrenees.
