Short description of Dudutki

Dudutki is an open air museum of rural crafts an hour south of the capital, built around a working windmill and a set of workshops where a smith, a potter and a weaver actually work rather than demonstrate. A licensed still produces the local spirit, and visitors are handed a glass of it with bread and salted lard. Farm animals and horses fill the paddocks for the children. Festival days at carnival and at midsummer draw very large crowds indeed. It is the standard family outing from Minsk and is thoroughly busy every single weekend.
