Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve

Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve (Reserva de Producción Faunística Cuyabeno) is one of Ecuador's most biodiverse protected areas, covering vast stretches of the northeastern Amazon lowlands. The reserve is renowned for its blackwater rivers, extensive lagoons, and seasonally flooded rainforest, which provide habitat for an extraordinary variety of wildlife, including pink river dolphins, giant otters, caimans, monkeys, and hundreds of bird species.
