Description

Wengen is a small, car-free mountain village in the Bernese Oberland and one of the best-known holiday destinations in the Jungfrau Region. Perched on a sunny terrace high above the Lauterbrunnen Valley and accessible only by the Wengernalp Railway, it offers spectacular views of the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau peaks. Wengen is renowned for its peaceful atmosphere, the legendary Lauberhorn ski race, and its close proximity to attractions such as Kleine Scheidegg and the Jungfraujoch. In summer, scenic hiking trails lead through the surrounding alpine landscape, while the Lauterbrunnen Valley, with its many waterfalls, is among Switzerland's most impressive natural attractions.
