The Ruta de las Flores is a scenic 36-kilometre route through the coffee-growing highlands of western El Salvador, connecting a series of picturesque mountain towns. The route is known for its blooming landscapes, historic coffee estates, colourful murals, artisan markets, and the popular weekend food market in Juayúa. Waterfalls, scenic viewpoints, and volcanic mountain scenery make it one of the country's most rewarding travel destinations. The Ruta de las Flores takes its name from the wildflowers and blooming coffee plants that brighten the region during the cooler months. It is widely regarded as the cultural and scenic heart of El Salvador's highlands and one of the country's most popular touring routes.
