Komodo National Park

Indonesia · West Flores · 5 m

Description

Komodo National Park (Taman Nasional Komodo) is a UNESCO World Heritage Site off the west coast of Flores and one of Indonesia's most extraordinary natural destinations. The archipelago, comprising the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Padar, and numerous smaller islets, is best known as the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon, the world's largest lizard. Equally captivating are its rugged volcanic landscapes, rolling savanna-covered hills, turquoise bays, and the exceptionally biodiverse waters of the Coral Triangle, which rank among the world's finest destinations for diving and snorkeling. Iconic viewpoints such as Padar Island's three-bay panorama and the famous Pink Beach with its distinctive rose-colored sand make Komodo National Park one of Southeast Asia's most spectacular travel destinations.
