Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, commonly known as Puebla, is the capital of the state of the same name and one of Mexico’s most important cultural and historic centers. The city is renowned for its UNESCO-listed historic center, with magnificent colonial architecture, numerous churches, and colorful façades adorned with traditional Talavera tiles, as well as its celebrated cuisine, including specialties such as Mole Poblano and Chiles en Nogada. Puebla combines colonial heritage and Mexican history with vibrant culture, regional craftsmanship, and impressive views of the volcanoes of central Mexico. Just outside the city lies Cholula with its monumental Great Pyramid, while Puebla itself holds a special place in Mexican history as the site of the famous Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.
