Eryri (Snowdonia) is the spectacular national park of North Wales, combining rugged nature, Welsh culture and a rich industrial heritage. Dominated by Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales’s highest mountain at 1,085 metres, the region is defined by dramatic peaks, deep valleys, clear mountain lakes and traditional villages. Hiking routes such as the Llanberis Path and the challenging Crib Goch ridge offer spectacular views. Historic castles, former slate quarries and picturesque narrow-gauge railways reflect the region’s past, while the Mediterranean-inspired village of Portmeirion adds an unusual architectural highlight.
