Cao Bang
Vietnam · Northeast Vietnam · 180 m
Description
Cao Bang (Cao Bằng) is a remote, mountainous province in Vietnam’s far northeast and home to some of the country’s most spectacular natural scenery. The region is known for the magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall on the border with China, the vast Nguom Ngao Cave, and the dramatic karst landscapes of the Non Nuoc Cao Bang UNESCO Global Geopark. Cao Bang combines rugged limestone mountains, lush valleys, rivers, and lakes with traditional villages of the Tay and Nung peoples. This relatively little-visited border region is an exceptional destination for nature, scenic journeys, and encounters with the cultural diversity of northern Vietnam.
