Description
Cat Ba (Cát Bà) is the largest island in the Cat Ba Archipelago in northern Vietnam and a spectacular natural paradise between Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay. The island is known for its forested limestone mountains, mysterious caves, tranquil bays and small beaches, as well as Cat Ba National Park with its rich diversity of wildlife and plant life. Cat Ba combines pristine nature with vibrant island life and offers ideal conditions for hiking, kayaking, rock climbing and boat trips through its dramatic karst landscape. As part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site “Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba Archipelago”, the island is one of northern Vietnam’s most fascinating destinations and an ideal gateway to the scenic islands and limestone formations of Lan Ha Bay.
