Short description of Bosa
Bosa is a colourful town on the west coast of Sardinia, on the only navigable river of the island, the Temo. Pastel houses climb the hill of the Sa Costa quarter to the Malaspina castle, built by a Tuscan noble family, from whose walls the whole valley can be seen. Along the riverbank stand the old tanneries, and a stone bridge leads to the cathedral. Bosa Marina has a sandy beach at the river mouth, and the scenic coastal road to Alghero passes cliffs where griffon vultures nest. Malvasia di Bosa wine and a lively carnival complete the picture of this quiet stop.
