The park is known for its towering red sandstone cliffs, deep canyons, lush river oases, and iconic hiking routes such as Angels Landing and The Narrows. Carved by the Virgin River, Zion Canyon forms the heart of the park and makes Zion one of the most impressive natural wonders in the western United States.
