Short description of Tumon
Tumon is the resort strip of Guam, a crescent bay of white sand where almost every hotel on the island stands and where most visitors, the majority of them from Japan, Korea and Taiwan, spend their week. The bay is a marine preserve, so fish gather close to shore and snorkelling starts at the beach. Ypao Beach Park at one end has lawns and barbecue shelters, Gun Beach at the other a wartime gun emplacement in the cliff. Duty free malls, Chamorro barbecue and a night market fill the street behind. Two Lovers Point looks down on the whole bay from a cliff.
