Inarajan

Guam

Short description of Inarajan

Inarajan, or Inalåhan, is the best preserved old village on Guam, a grid of prewar wooden and concrete houses along the southeast coast that the bombardment largely missed. Salaglula pool, better known as the Inarajan natural pool, is a basin of clear water walled off from the surf by volcanic rock, with diving boards over it. Gef Pa'go is a small heritage village where elders demonstrate salt making, coconut work and weaving. The church of Saint Joseph faces the plaza, and the coast road either side runs between cliffs and the reef.
