Description

Malapascua is a small coral island off the northern tip of Cebu and is considered one of the Philippines' most renowned diving destinations. This tropical island paradise is best known for its regular encounters with thresher sharks at Monad Shoal, one of the few places in the world where these elegant pelagic sharks can be observed with remarkable reliability. The island also offers vibrant coral reefs, outstanding macro diving sites featuring seahorses and mandarinfish, and the nearby Gato Island Marine Sanctuary with its rich marine life. White sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, a relaxed atmosphere, and small family run resorts give Malapascua its authentic island charm. The car free island is regarded as one of the finest destinations in the central Philippines for divers, snorkelers, and nature lovers.
