Kaindy Lake

Description
Kaindy is a lake that drowned a spruce forest, and the trunks still stand in it, bare and grey above the water and preserved with their branches below it in the cold. A landslide dammed the gorge and the water rose over the trees, which is why the surface reads as a flooded wood rather than a lake. It sits at roughly two thousand metres at the end of a rough track above Saty, and the last stretch needs a high vehicle or a horse. Divers come for the standing forest under the surface. The water is too cold to swim.
