Wānaka is a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Wānaka in the Otago region of New Zealand's South Island. Surrounded by the Southern Alps, it is renowned for its spectacular scenery, the iconic Wanaka Tree, and its wide range of outdoor activities. During the summer months, hiking, mountain biking, water sports, and lake cruises are among the main attractions, while in winter the nearby Cardrona and Treble Cone ski areas offer excellent conditions for skiing and snowboarding.
